Patient access improvements

We want to thank everyone who has recently visited the hospital for bearing with us during our disruptive but exciting improvement works. We are very happy to say the current phase is now complete and it has been a huge success.

We have three new disabled parking bays conveniently located near our main entrance making access to reception easier and shorter for less able visitors. Patients, staff and visitors can now move comfortably between our Minor Injuries and Illness Unit, X-ray department and the driveway to our car park under a covered, smooth surfaced walkway (suitable for wheelchairs), protected from whatever the weather might throw at us.

Well placed benches and potted plants have made the walkway a delightful place for rest and fresh air, to read a book or have a chat between friends and family while waiting. It is a very well used and much appreciated new hospital asset so thank you to everyone who has helped us fundraise for this project. It has been a wonderful team effort, and the results speak for themselves.

If you would like to support us with future projects and improvement initiatives, we would love to hear from you. We welcome one-off and regular donations that can be made to The Friends of Tetbury Hospital online or by sending us a cheque in the post to Tetbury Hospital Trust, Malmesbury Road, Tetbury, GL8 8XB.
