The Great Tetbury Hospital Boules Tournament 2018

‘Allo ’Allo? Boules in Tetbury?

Twelve teams took part in the now annual Great Tetbury Hospital Boules Tournament, organised by the Friends of Tetbury Hospital on 13th May at the Royal Oak in Tetbury and raised £1155 for the Hospital in the process. After a great competition the event was won by 'Team Right'.

Apart from the competition itself the teams enjoyed coffee and croissants during registration with a well-earned French-themed lunch with wine and beer. The tournament, organised in conjunction with Vinotopia, The Royal Oak and Vignobles Foncalieu, aimed to raise funds for our local hospital.

Comments event organiser Andy Cole of Vinotopia, “A great day was had by all and we were delighted to be able to raise funds for our hospital. The event could not have taken place without huge support from local businesses. A special thanks go to the Royal Oak who, apart from supplying a great venue, also provided the fantastic food and also to Hobbs House who donated the pastries and bread. James Pyle from James Pyle Estate Agents provided expert help both before and on the day.

We are also extremely grateful to French Grey, Jesse Smith,Café 53, Domestic Science, Qetty Bang Bang, Anna Lizzio, Sassy and Boo, Overider, Artique, Cherry Tree, Mayfair and Grace, Veloton, Verity and Beverley Architects, The Tetbury Tailor, The Lighted Book Shop, Willow Munro and Skeins of Tetbury who donated raffle prizes”. ..
