Title: Maintenance Officer

Responsible to: Estates Lead

Accountable to: Chief Executive Officer

Liaises with: All staff groups within Tetbury Hospital Trust, external sub-contractors, Health and Safety advisors, NHS organisations, members of the public

Job summary 

Do you want to join an organisation that invests in its buildings and environment, its community’s health and its staff? Then we want you! Following the retirement of our maintenance officer there is an opportunity to join our team. This position plays a key role within the estates team. 

The role is varied and during the week you can expect to undertake the maintenance of essential services, healthcare systems and equipment (attention to detail is required as you will be responsible for keeping all the associated work logs up to date) You’ll ensure the buildings and premises are well maintained, including external seasonal work, and you will transport hospital items around the County. During the day you will work closely with our clinical and administrative staff to help with the smooth running of our services by supporting these teams with general portering duties.   

We are looking for an individual who can conduct work in a professional manner, in a busy environment and has very good communication skills 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

A Good Basic Education
Previous experience of working in an estates / maintenance environment 
Previous knowledge of Health and Safety at Work, manual handling, COSHH regulations, risk assessments 
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, to plan and organise work schedules 
A full UK Driving licence is essential
