Mr Field started his professional career as an Orthopaedic Surgeon his practice is now almost entirely hand surgery. He teaches the AO hand fracture fixation course. He also examines on the FRCS exam and he teaches Orthopaedic Surgeons how to teach.

Jeremy Field is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon who trained in Bristol. He learned most of his hand surgery techniques in Sydney, Australia where he worked for Tim Herbert (of Herbert Screw fame) and has significant experience in scaphoid fractures.

He has a strong academic and research interest, having a Master of Surgery degree with a thesis of complex regional pain syndrome type 1.

His practice now involves all aspects of hand surgery, particularly wrist fractures and their consequences. He also deals with all fractures of the hand and forearm. In addition he deals with arthritis of the hand and wrist (the hand is the most common area to have arthritis in the body) involving joint fusions and joint replacement in the hand. He also treats common hand conditions, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and Dupuytren's disease.
