Anwen Whitham is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 10 years experience of working with NHS and private clients. She is trained to doctoral level and has a wide knowledge of the different challenges and symptoms that people experience, having worked with complex presentations for most of her professional life. She uses the biopsychosocial model with her clients to help them to understand their difficulties in more detail and draws upon evidence-based interventions to help her clients to make changes.

Her area of expertise is coping with anxiety, stress and depression, though she is trained to work with many other presentations including pain, loss and adjustment to change, anger management and challenging behaviour. Anwen has an interest in personality and cognitive profiling and is able to conduct standardised psychometric assessments with her clients to help them to understand their strengths and weaknesses and aspects of their personality that might contribute to the difficulties they present with. Psychometrics can be a very informative addition to understanding a presentation and putting in place an effective intervention.

Anwen is registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council.
She has a temporary post in an NHS cancer rehabilitation service in North Wales.

Psychologists are used to working collaboratively with other professionals including GPs and physiotherapists to ensure that their client'€™s presentation is fully understood. However, Anwen is also able to work confidentially with clients to maintain privacy. Read more about Anwen Whitham at stablefocus.co.uk
