Mr Joyce works as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon for the Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford, specialising in the surgical and conservative treatment of the foot and associated structures.

Mr Joyce gained his undergraduate Podiatry degree in 2004 at the University of Southampton and undertook a Master’s degree in 2009. He commenced his surgical training with the Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford, completing his surgical training at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. During the final 4 years of his training in Swindon, Mr Joyce has gained a vast amount of experience in diabetic foot and limb salvage surgical techniques. Mr Joyce is also passionate about and highly experienced in all aspects of foot surgery, having performed over 1000 surgical procedures in the past two years. Such procedures include the treatment of hallux valgus (bunions), hammer toes, neuroma (thickened nerves) and arthritic joints.

As a firm believer in evidence-based practice, Mr Joyce has published in internationally recognised journals and continues to be involved in research and publication. Being an accredited surgical tutor, he is actively involved in the training of Podiatric surgical trainees and has regularly chaired and presented at various conferences.

In his spare time, Mr Joyce enjoys spending time with his young family and playing golf. Since his retirement from competitive rugby, he is now involved in coaching his son’s minis rugby team.

Mr Joyce offers outpatient clinics and day case surgery at Tetbury hospital to NHS patients.
